This year our staff kicked off the year reflecting on our mission, vision, and values. We spent our first teacher institute days reflecting, discussing, and drafting new statements that would help to guide us in our work. After sharing the created statements with our school board for final approval we are excited to share!

 

Mission: We aim to create a supportive, inclusive community where students learn to have respect, act responsibly, work together, and maintain safety, ensuring a strong foundation for their future while achieving success and well being.

 

Vision: To be an exemplary school where students love learning and are empowered to excel to their fullest potential.

 

Respect: Respect is fundamental to our school community. It means valuing ourselves, others, and our environment. We show consideration and appreciation for diverse perspectives and backgrounds, fostering a culture of mutual respect and understanding.

Responsibility: Acting responsibly involves making thoughtful decisions and being accountable for our actions. We take ownership for our behavior, understanding the impact we have on ourselves and others, and strive for excellence in all that we do.

Collaboration: Collaboration is key to success. Working together means cooperating with peers, teachers, and the community to achieve common goals. We emphasize the importance of teamwork, communication, and supporting one another to create a positive and productive learning environment.

Safety: Safety is our top priority. Creating and maintaining a secure environment ensures we feel protected physically and emotionally. When we feel safe, we are more likely to ask questions, share ideas, and think outside the box, fostering a culture of curiosity and learning.

As many of you have seen, our new main entrance is now open. We still have work to do to complete the interior vestibule, but all visitors can now enter through the main entrance door. For athletic events, our main entrance will now be used as well. This entrance is ADA accessible with a ramp for those who need it.
