Dr. Jake Klipsch
Dr. Jake Klipsch began working as the Superintendent of Hampton in July of 2022. He began his career in education as a 4th grade teacher in Chicago Public Schools as a part of the Teacher For America program. After working in Chicago, he transitioned into his first administrative job as the Dean of Students of Old Orchard Junior High School in Skokie, Illinois. He and his wife decided to return to Davenport, Iowa in 2007 to be closer to family. In Davenport he began working for the Davenport Community School District where he held various administrative positions including Associate Principal at JB Young Intermediate as well as Principal of Hayes Elementary, Eisenhower Elementary, and Mid City High School. After his time as a building principal he served as a district level administrator in roles such as Program Director for School Climate Transformation and Instructional Leadership Director.
Dr. Klipsch holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa, an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University, an MA in Educational Leadership and Organizational Change from Roosevelt University, and a PhD in Education Administration from the University of Iowa. He and his wife celebrated 20 years of marriage in 2022 and they have 3 wonderful children ages 18, 16, and 13.
He considers it an honor and a privilege to be the Superintendent of Hampton.
